Reassurance and the Fear of Crime

Crime and the fear of crime can affect the health and well being of the local community.  People’s perception of crime causes rear fear and anxiety.  The reality of crime in the Stafford Borough area from actual data and records paints a much more encouraging picture.

It is clear that your perceptions and fear of crime is influenced by what you see hear and read.  A lot of good work is being done within the Community Safety Partnership and has been enhanced by the introduction of Police Community Support Officers who are playing a key role in keeping Stafford Borough safe
