Staffordshire Police

The police in Stafford and Stone have a long association with our partners in tackling crime and disorder together. We have achieved many successes and are proud to see that our area is one of the safest to work, live and visit.

Making policing more available to local people who should have a greater say in setting our priorities has been, and continues to be, very important to us. More recently we have been at the forefront of introducing neighbourhood policing into the area. Supported by our partners we have been able to increase the numbers of Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers present in our neighbourhoods.

Working alongside regular police officers and other agencies they are proving to be a formidable weapon against those that seek to commit crime and a source of strength and support to the law-abiding majority particularly the vulnerable. During the coming weeks and months policing will become more visible, more accessible and more familiar than ever before. We are committed to developing a greater understanding of those issues that affect our neighbourhoods and to do what we can to increase the confidence in the service we deliver.

The fight to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour will go on with all the police working with partners to reassure people that people can be confident in the service we provide. There are still many challenges ahead and we look forward to continuing to work with together to deliver a high quality policing service to the diverse communities across the Stafford Borough area.
