Stafford Borough Council
There is much to celebrate in Stafford Borough, with the relative low levels of crime and disorder in relation to other districts across the country.
But there is still more to do, to continue to drive down, crime, disorder and to raise the levels of reassurance and public safety.
Stafford Borough Council is working in partnership with key organisations and agencies to tackle these issues. Local residents highlighted the following five priorities in a survey carried out for the 2005/08 Community Safety Strategy:
- Anti-social Behaviour
- Alcohol and related violence
- Drugs misuse
- Speeding & Road Safety
- Domestic Violence
Stafford Borough Council, as part of the Community Safety Partnership, is committed to making Stafford and Stone town centres and the outlying villages within the Stafford Borough safer places in which to live, work and socialise.
The Stafford Borough Community Safety Partnership also includes the following organisations:
- Staffordshire County Council
- Staffordshire Police
- Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service
- South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust
- Voluntary organisations
And many other agencies (listed separately).
